Exploring Son Doong cave tours closed for four months

Exploring Son Doong cave tours has been closed from thí month to the end of this year.

According to regulations of the People’s Committee of Quang Binh province and British experts, Son Doong cave will not receive adventurers in the last months of the year for its environment protection and biodiversity conservation as well as giving porters and guides a chance to have a break.

In addition, exploring Son Doong cave tours has been closed for the safe of travelers because the water level may be raised up to 90 metters height in this rainy season.

The five days and four nights tour costs US$ 3,000 per person. Each tour has a maximum of 10 visitors, totaling a maximum of 500 tourists for the entire year. Son Doong cave tour in 2015 is full with about 482 local and international travelers. The US has the highest number of travelers with 145 tourists booking to the cave, followed by Australia with 123 people, Vietnam with 115 holiday makers and others countries.
